Women's Basketball Earns Five Seed in NCAA Tournament

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team will be making an appearance in the NCAA Women's Tournament for the fourth time in five years, as it was selected to the 64-team field on selection Sunday.
The Eagles earned the fifth seed in the East region and will travel to Norfolk, Va. for a first-round game against 12th seeded Old Dominion University on March 22. Tip-off is scheduled for 11:10 a.m.
Boston College finished with a 20-8 record, going 12-4 in BIG EAST contests. The BIG EAST Conference fared well in the tournament selection, with seven league teams earning berths in the championship field.
All 63 NCAA Championship games will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN2. The network will offer whiparound-style coverage in the first and second rounds for most of the nation, with regionalized/protected coverage in the home markets of the participating institutions.
