Harvard Dominates Over Eagles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The women's swim team scrimmaged Harvard last Friday over in Cambridge.
The Crimson took first place in 14 of the 18 events. The Eagles captured first the win in the opening event, the 400 Yard Medley Relay. The young team consisted of freshman Juliet Paradine swimming the opening, sophomore Victoria Thelin the second leg, freshman Carolyn Bowman the third, and sophomore Liz Byron the final leg. There time of 3:58.5 was a full two seconds over Harvard's 'A' relay group.
Kimberly Garcia took third in the 1650 Yard Fresstyle, with at time of 17:38.96, 25 seconds behind Harvard's Emily Wilson who took first place.
Sophomore Jennifer Rhines captured 244.72 points in the 1 meter diving event, enough to earn first place. Senior Katelyn Cox had 214.88 points for fourth place, and junior Keri Rubeis came in last with 146.48.
Liz Byron took home the team's outstanding performer, and Jennifer Rhines earned the outstanding performance on the one-meter dive. The Eagles will host Brandeis in their first meet of the season on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
