Over the past two weeks, Boston College senior forward Beth Totman has been the most decorated athlete at the Heights. She was named to three weekly all-star teams and received individual honors at the BIG EAST Championship.
For the week of October 27-November 2, Totman was named to SoccerBuzz Magazine's National Elite Team of the Week for her performance in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals against Rutgers. In that game, a 2-1 Boston College victory, Totman posted an assist on the Eagles' first goal and then scored the game-winner herself, driving the ball home from 35 yards out in the 87th minute. For that performance, Soccer America named Totman to its College Women's Team of the Week.
In the BIG EAST Semifinals, Totman netted the game-winner again, this time against third-ranked Notre Dame. In the title game against Villanova, she scored the equalizer with a header, allowing the Eagles to force overtime. For her achievements in those games, SoccerBuzz again recognized Totman on their National Elite Team of the Week.
For her performance in all three BIG EAST Tournament games, Totman was named the event's Most Outstanding Offensive Player by the conference.
Totman and the Eagles begin NCAA Tournament play on Friday, November 13, hosting the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils at Newton Campus Soccer Field. The match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
