Indianapolis, Ind. - The Boston College field hockey team is one of 16 teams selected to participate in the 2003 NCAA Field Hockey Championship, as announced Tuesday night by the NCAA Division I Women's Field Hockey Committee.
The Eagles (15-6) will be one of four teams at the Storrs, Connecticut regional site. Held at George J. Sherman Family-Sports Complex on the campus of University of Connecticut, the region will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 14-15. The Eagles will face top-seeded and top-ranked Wake Forest (18-1) in their first game of the tournament. The winner will face the winner of the Connecticut (16-5) vs. Northeastern (17-5) game.
Winners of each of the four regionals will advance to the NCAA Field Hockey Championships to be held at Richard F. Garber Field on the campus of University of Massachusetts November 21 (5:00 and 7:30 p.m.) and 23 (12:30 p.m.).
