Women's Tennis Results From Brown Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Boston College women's tennis team finished their first weekend invitational of the fall season at Brown University going 20-7 overall. The Eagles suffered a major setback on day two with sophomore Szilvia Szegedi (Dumakeszi, Hungary) withdrawing from the tournament due to injury. Szegedi was to compete in the semifinals of Flight A but was sidelined due to an injury sustained during her doubles match.
A bright spot for the Eagles was freshman Lindsey Nash (Linfield HS/San Diego, Calif.). Nash won her only three matches of the day competing in the "Feed In Flight C" bracket.
The Eagles doubles' teams finished 6-1. The only loss was due to Svegedi's withdrawal.
Boston College travels to Flushing Meadows, N.Y. next weekend for the USTA Invitational.
