Schultz Named BIG EAST Co-Offensive Player Of The Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College sophomore forward Lauren Schultz (New Milford, Conn.) was named BIG EAST Co-Offensive Player of the Week Monday after her solid effort in the Eagles' first game of the 2002 season. She shares the honor with Connecticut' Kelly Cochrane.

Schultz helped the Eagles to a 4-0 season-opening win over Colgate this past weekend. Schultz collected two assists on those four goals, including the second and the fourth goals. In addition, Schultz collected five of her team's 26 shots on the afternoon.

The Eagles host their next three games, taking on area rival Massachusetts Wednesday night in a 7 p.m. game in Alumni Stadium. They will then host Quinnipiac (Friday) and Boston University (Wednesday) before their first road game.
