Women's Soccer Tabbed Second in BIG EAST Preseason Poll

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The 2002 Boston College women's soccer team is picked to finish second in the BIG EAST Northeast Division, as announced today by the conference. Coach Alison Foley's squad notched 80 overall points, including three first place votes. Coincidentally, the Eagles ended the 2001 campaign in second place as well.
Junior midfielder Sarah Rahko (Londonderry/Londonderry, NH) also was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team for the 2002 season. Rahko will take the field as the defending BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year for 2001.
Boston College opens its season on Friday, Aug. 30 vs. Massachusetts at the Newton Campus Soccer Field. Kickoff is slated for noon.
