Women's Soccer Gains National and Regional Recognition

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Coach Alison Foley's 12 incoming freshmen have caught the eye of Soccer Buzz Magazine, helping to earn Boston College the fifth spot in the publication's poll of the 2002 Division I recruiting classes. Additionally, Soccer Buzz tabbed the incoming class as the best in the northeast.

The Eagles' 2002 class consists of Katie Cisto (Oxford, CT), Ashley Hawkins (Basking Ridge, NJ), Amanda Kearns (Atlanta, GA), Kelly Lavery (Woodland Hills, CA), Lindsey McArdle (Boxford, MA), Katie McGregor (Simsbury, CT), April Joy Millado (Canoga Park, CA), Meghan Nadolski (Essex Junction, VT), Katie Pastorius (Arden Hills, MN), Meighann Recile (New Haven, CT), Kate Taylor (Menomonee Falls, WI), and Mary Zider (Barre, VT).

The Eagles open the 2002 campaign on Friday, August 30th at home against Massachusetts. Kickoff is at noon.
