CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's soccer program received another boost with Amanda Kearns (Atlanta, GA/Marist School) joining the long list of incoming freshmen to Alison Foley's 2002 roster. The Marist School standout will bring her skills to the Eagles' backfield.
Kearns was a four-year member of the Marist School varsity squad, which won the 2001 state championship. She collected all-county team honors in her senior campaign. In her junior year, she tallied 13 goals and 10 assists, which earned her national high school all-star recognition.
She has also excelled in the club ranks, leading the AFC Lightning to two State Snickers Cup championships (2001 and 2002) and, most recently, helping the Lightning capture the 2002 Region III championship.
