Wrestling Takes On Wagner College

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - In the last regular season wrestling match for Boston College, the Eagles fell to CAA Conference member Wagner College by a tally of 32-21. The match was held on Saturday, February 23rd at Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. Following the event, the Eagles' final record stands at 1-16 overall and 0-6 in the CAA Conference.
Several Boston College wrestlers deserve notice for their performance at the meet. Senior Evan Williams pinned Wagner's Brad Ditto in the 157-pound bracket to earn six points for the Eagles. Williams' record improved to 9-7 overall following this victory. Also chalking up a victory for the Eagles was sophomore Mark Melanson who defeated Dan Rodriguez 13-4. Finally, heavyweight Peter Frattaroli pinned Ed Mackel at 6:10, earning his first dual meet victory of the season. Brad Shemluck, who did not compete this weekend, closed out the season with a 6-6 dual meet record.
