Fencing Competes At Junior Olympic Championships

COLUMBUS, OH - Five Boston College fencers traveled to Columbus, Ohio to represent Boston College and the New England Division at the 2001-2002 Junior Olympic Championships. The event, consisting of competitions in men's and women's foil, saber and epee took place from February 15th-18th, 2002.
In the Junior Men's Foil competition, sophomore Corban Rhodes placed 95 out of 190 competitors while freshman teammate William Lawrie placed 106th. Freshman Tiffany White led all Boston College fencers with a 21st place finish out of 124 competitors in Junior Women's Epee. Boston College men's fencing, with an 11-11 record, and women's fencing at 12-11 will compete next at the New England Collegiate Championships. The event will be held at Tufts University on Saturday, February 23rd.
