DURHAM, N.H. - Boston College finished their dual meet season on a high note, winning all of their team matches in the Northeast Fencing Conference action at UNH. The women's epee squad finished the season undefeated against their NFC rivals to take top epee squad honors in the conference. Tiffany White in epee and Vanessa Eulo and Maureen Traynor in foil won all of their bouts. Strong performances by fellow foilists Sue Boyle (14-1) and Alison Maher (11-1) allowed that squad to dominate the competition as well. Women's sabre also swept as a squad, despite allowing its three novice freshmen (Alexis Rossi, Jen Dowty and Laura Buckley) ample playing time.
The men's team squeaked out a victory against a surprisingly strong UMass tea and were unchallenged in their other matches. Foilist Paul Taylor and Epeeist Dave Moyston went undefeated for the day. Corbin Rhodes (9-1) in foil, Dave Slocum (9-1) and Dan Higgins (6-1) in epee, and Mike Capozzi (7-2) in sabre were the standouts.
