Women's Soccer Tops Quinnipiac, 1-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's soccer team defeated Quinnipiac University by a score of 1-0 at Newton Campus Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon. The win brings the Eagles to 10-6-1 on the season, while the Bobcats fall to 2-9-1.
Boston College dominated the field, keeping possession over Quinnipiac, but the game remained scoreless for 81 minutes until BC senior captain Kate Halloran beat Quinnipiac goalkeeper, Jenna Lawless. Halloran now has seven goals for the year. Freshman Katie McGregor assisted on the goal.
The Eagles out shot the Bobcats 14 to seven. Quinnipiac goalkeeper Jenna Lawless recorded four saves. Elyse Meredith made two saves for the Eagles.
Boston College returns to action next Sunday, Oct. 27 for a BIG EAST Conference contest against Notre Dame. The match will begin at 12:30 p.m. at Newton Campus Soccer Field.
