Men's Skiing Captures Third At UMass Carnival

Charlemont, Mass. --The Boston College men's skiing team competed at the University of Massachusetts Carnival this past weekend held at Berkshire East.? The men earned second place overall in the Slalom and third place in the Giant Slalom.? Head Coach Brad Vermeulen's squad holds third place in the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference after the first weekend of racing.
The men were led by standout sophomore Seth Therrien and junior Barry Connolly.? Therrien captured third in the Slalom and eleventh in the Giant Slalom, Connolly nabbed eighth and sixteenth, and sophomore David Giulietti contributed with tenth and seventeenth place finishes in Slalom and Giant Slalom, respectively.? Senior Hans Gustafson had a top 15 finish in the slalom and sophomore Joe Lopez had a top 15 in the Giant Slalom.? Junior Adam Wexler rounded out the top 5 Eagles with top 25 finishes in both events.
The Eagles will next compete on Saturday, January 26, at the Plymouth State Carnival in Waterville Valley, NH.
