Our record as of now is 1-2. Our last game was a victory against Ohio State on September 9th. The feeling in the locker room before the Ohio State game was different than the prior two games. Attitudes were positive and the energy level was high. As we prepared for the game, we listened to pump up music to create a lot of energy. I believe we had one thing on our minds...VICTORY.
And victory is what we got.
There wasn't a second during the game that anyone on or off the field doubted our ability to beat Ohio State. We were on fire, placing so much pressure on their defense. They managed to get the first goal, but it made no difference. We came right back at them when Mo (Jenkins) scored a hard-earned goal. After that, there was no holding us back. We ended the game with a 3-1 victory. I can't express how great it felt to finally win!
Due to the tragic incidences in our country, we did not play our games against Hartford and UNH. Instead, we used the past week as a time to honor those lost in the tragedy. We also used that time as an intense training period. After so many hard practices, we are very ready for another game.
Our next competition is against Dartmouth tomorrow at 3. This is our first home game. I am so excited to actually play at home. Dartmouth will be an excellent game. Even though they don't have any games under their belt and we have 3, they have a lot of talent. I know our team is going to come out strong and have an incredible game.
