Hanover, NH - The Boston College field hockey team dropped a 5-0 contest to Dartmouth Sunday morning in Hanover, NH in a game that was picked up late due to last weekend's cancellation of the Big Ten/BIG EAST Challenge. With the second consecutive shutout loss, Boston College falls to 3-4 on the season. The Big Green improves to 4-1.
The Eagles found themselves down 2-0 at the intermission as Dartmouth's Courtney Steele began the scoring attack with a goal at 26:14 that would turn out to the game winner. Dartmouth goaltender Kirsten Anderson collected her third shutout of the season while Boston College goaltender Lauren Hill (Bethesda, MD) collected four saves.
The Eagles return to action Wednesday afternoon with a 3:30 pm game at Providence. The game is the first BIG EAST match-up of the season for the Eagles.
