Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College field hockey team dropped a 3-0 contest to 16h-ranked Northeastern Wednesday evening at Alumni Stadium. With the loss, Boston College falls to 3-3 on the season. The Huskies improve to 4-1.
The Eagles gave up the game's first goal with just under five minutes elapsed in the game. On a rebound from a penalty corner, Sarah Broderick (Harwich, MA) touched in a pass from Kelly Williams (Shoreham, NY) to open to 1-0 lead, which would hold through intermission. In the second half, Aleisha Bemis (Oakland, ME) collected a goal and an assist while Fior Arrindell (Oakville, CT) scored the Huskies' third goal on a penalty corner with no time left on the clock.
Lauren Hill (Bethesda, MD), Boston College's goalkeeper, collected nine saves on the evening.
The Eagles return to action Sunday morning with an 11:30 am game at Dartmouth. The game was a late addition, replacing one of the two cancelled games last weekend.
