Women's Soccer Ranked 22nd in Preseason Poll

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Soccer Buzz, a national on-line women's soccer publication, released it annual preseason rankings this week with Boston College 22nd in the national top 25. Additionally, the outlet ranked BC second in the Northeast region behind the University of Connecticut.
Boston College finished the 2000 season with a 14-7 record and advanced to the semifianls of the BIG EAST Tournament before falling to top-ranked Notre Dame. The Eagles were ranked sixth in the final 2000 Northeast poll.
The Eagles officially begin the regular season on Sept. 1 against Massachusetts in Agawam, Mass. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
