Men's Tennis Halves Two Game Road Trip

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The Boston College men's tennis team split a two game road swing, winning on Friday, Mar. 30, over Marist 5-1, and falling on Saturday, Mar. 31, to Rutgers 7-0.
The Eagles swept the top five seeds in singles to secure a victory over Marist 5-1. Led by senior co-captain Jason Cowett, Boston College won five out of six singles matches. Junior Tim Brennan and freshmen Justin Slattery, Brad Anderson, and Paul Colahan won singles matches also in route to victory on Friday.
On Saturday, the Eagles were defeated in a BIG EAST match with Rutgers, 7-0. Boston College did not win any singles matches and only won one of three doubles matches. The team of Colahan and Brennan captured their doubles match at the third seed.
The Eagles improve to an overall dual match record of 10-9, 1-1 in the BIG EAST and will next see action against Providence on Tuesday, April 3 at 3:00p.m. in Chestnut Hill.
