Men's Tennis Qualifies for BIG EAST Championship

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College men's tennis team has qualified for the BIG EAST Championship on Friday-Sunday, April 20-22 in Coral Gables, Fla.

The top six teams in the BIG EAST qualified for the championship tournament. Play will be in a single elimination format with the top two teams receiving a bye into the second round. All matches will be held at the at the Neil Schiff Tennis Complex in Coral Gables, Fla.

The men's tennis team has an overall record of 13-10, 3-2 in the BIG EAST, is seeded sixth and will face third seed Virginia Tech Friday, April 20 at noon. The winner will advance to take on second seed Miami Saturday, April 21, at noon and the loser will face the loser of the #4 Rutgers and #5 St. John's on Saturday at 3:00p.m.
