CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's tennis defeated Seton Hall Sunday morning by a score of 5-2 at the Flynn Complex.
The Eagles began the morning on the right foot, by earning the doubles point on the strength of victories from the duo of senior captains Cynthia Tow and Kiren Fernando, and the team of sophomore Brooke Moldenhauer and freshman Emily Hellberg. The team of sophomores Jessica Engel and Anisha Fernando also competed in doubles play.
On the singles side the Eagles were again anchored by their captains, Tow and K. Fernando, who recorded victories along with A. Fernando and Hellberg all in straight sets over the Lady Pirates. Moldenhauer and Engel also competed in played singles and were defeated Sunday morning.
The women's tennis team is 8-5 in dual matches and 4-1 in BIG EAST play. The women's tennis team will next see action against Yale on Saturday, Mar. 31, at 1:00 p.m. in Chestnut Hill.
