Men's Tennis Records Shutout Over URI

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College men's tennis team recorded its second straight shutout victory, this time over the Rams from URI with a score of 7-0, Saturday, March 24, at the Flynn Complex.
The Eagles won all six singles matches and all three doubles matches to complete their convincing victory. Senior Jason Cowett, juniors Marc Lucero and Tim Brennan, and freshmen Justin Slattery, Brad Anderson, and Paul Colahan secured points Saturday with straight set victories
The Eagles also captured the doubles point to round out the 7-0 victory. The teams of senior Matt Stutz/Anderson, Brennan/Colahan, and Slattery/Cowett won their doubles matches in convincing fashion. This is the fifth time the Eagles have shutout an opponent this season.
The Eagles improve to a dual match record of 8-8 and 1-0 in the BIG EAST and will next see action at Marist, Friday, Mar. 30, at 2:00 p.m.
