Women's Soccer To Play Nebraska In NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Following its 3-0 loss to the University of Notre Dame in the BIG EAST tournament semifinals, the Boston College women's soccer team had to play the waiting game. With an 11-9-1 overall record, there was some uncertainty of whether or not the team would receive an at-large bid.
The uncertainty turned into certainty on Monday afternoon when the NCAA announced that Boston College will play the University of Nebraska in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The game will be played at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Abbott Sports Complex in Lincoln, Neb.
Nebraska (15-4-1), who is presently ranked 11th in the country, finished runner-up in the Big 12 finals on Sunday, falling to conference rival Texas A&M 3-2 in San Antonio.
The winner of the Boston College-Nebraska contest will play the winner of the Brigham Young-Kansas, who play at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, on in the second round in Lincoln, Neb.
