CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior Kim French's two goals propelled Boston College over Holy Cross, 2-1, in field hockey action tonight at Alumni Stadium. The forward netted one goal in each half as the Eagles improved to 10-7 overall. The Crusaders fell to 10-5.
French knocked in her first goal of the night with 22:35 remaining in the first half off a scramble in front of the cage. Her second goal came with 8:24 remaining in the game.
Holy Cross tied the game with no time remaining in the first half when Marybeth Clark shot in a rebound off a corner.
Sophomore goaltender Lauren Hill made nine saves in the win for BC, while Holy Cross' Jennifer Corsilli stopped seven shots.
Boston College will close out the regular season on Sunday, October 28 when it hosts Rutgers in a 2 p.m. game. The game will be Senior Day for captains Amelie Wulff and Gina Dinan.
