Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College posted a 4-2 win over Boston University today in their first game of the MSI/ECAC Wommen's Soccer Classic held in Harwich, Mass.
Just 2:35 into the game, Morgan Page (Westerly, R.I.)put the Eagles (3-1 overall) up 1-0 with Lindsay Marshall (Greensboro, N.C.) adding the assist. Colleen Danaher (Rockford, Ill.)increased the lead to 2-0 at the 64:10 mark with an assist from Rachel Parri (Madison, Conn.). The Eagles made the score 3-0 at the 70:10 mark when Meghan Moore (Santa Barbara, Calif.) put Sarah Rahko's (Londonderry, N.H.)pass into the back of the goal.
The Terriers (1-2 overall) attempted a comeback at 75:48 as Deirdre Enos converted a pass from Rebecca Beyer, but Rachel Klemanski (Farmington, Conn.) sealed the win for the Eagles at 85:26. Boston University's Enos tallied her second of the game with 13 seconds remaining, but it was too late for BU.
Action will continue on Sunday for the Eagles, as BC takes on Colgate at 12 noon in their second and final match of the Classic.
