Eagles Women's Soccer Unloads On CCSU 5-1

NEW BRITAIN, CT - Junior Morgan Page (Westerly, R.I.) tallied two goals and assisted on both of sophomore Katherine Halloran's (Hanover, Mass.) goals to lead the Eagles to a 5-1 victory over host Central Connecticut State in a non-conference women's soccer match Wednesday afternoon.
Page scored the first goal of the game off an assist from freshman Sarah Rahko at 3:51, and Halloran followed up with her own tally at 11:19 with an assist from Page. Page then followed with her second tally, off another assist from Rahko, at 12:22 to make it 3-0 Eagles. Page then assisted Halloran for the second time at 58:29. Junior Lindsey Marshall (Greensboro, N.C.)recorded the Eagles' fifth and final goal at 77:45 off an assist from senior Jillian Livolsi (Northport, N.Y.)
Jane McFarlane scored the lone tally for CCSU at 23:17.
The Eagles, now 4-2 overall, outshot CCSU 27-7. Freshman goalkeeper Meredith Crotty (Santa Rosa, Calif.) made two saves for the Eagles. Sarah Decormier made eight saves for CCSU, whose record now stands at 2-2.
The Eagles next game will be this Friday, Sept. 15, at Central Florida. Game time will be 7 p.m.
