Boston College junior forward/back Amelie Wulff (Dusseldorf, Germany) earned BIG EAST field hockey Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sept. 10. In three games last week, Wulff had three goals and two assists, including a two-goal performance against Stanford.
She scored the game-tying goal with 0:00 left in the game off a penalty corner to send the game into overtime where the Eagles defeated the Cardinal, 3-2. Against Pacific on Sunday, Sept. 10, Wulff assisted on teammate Jen Hall's two goals and added her own on a penalty stroke. She put 13 shots on goal against the Tigers after posting six against Stanford for 19 total shots in the two-game trip.
Wulff currently shares the team's lead in scoring with Hall with three goals and two assists for eight points. A 1998 BIG EAST All-Rookie team selection, Wulff missed all but six games of the 1999 season with a broken foot.
Boston College is 4-1 on the season currently ranked 14th in the nation. The Eagles return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 13 when seventh-ranked Boston University travels to Chestnut Hill for a 7 p.m. game.
