Women's Soccer Falls To Colgate 4-3 In Overtime

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Colgate's Angela Poliafico scored 2:21 into overtime to lift the Red Raiders women's soccer team to victory over Boston College 4-3 in overtime on Sunday in each team's final match of the MSI/ECAC Capr Cod Women's Soccer Classic in Harwich, Mass.
The Eagles held a 2-0 lead at halftime on goals by sophomore Katherine Halloran (Hanover, Mass.) at 25:53 and senior Emily Feeney (North Kingstown, R.I.) at 39:52. Meghan Moore added the assist on Halloran's goal. Colgate answered early in the second half as Sena Maziarz tallied at 45:44. Lauren Erickson tied the game with a goal at 57:53. Boston College regained the lead as Colleen Danaber scored at 71:00 but Colgate again responded as Meghan Merriman converted a pass from Angela Poliafico at the 84:00 mark. Colgate goalkeeper Jenny Molina made 14 saves in the win, while BC's Courtney Schaeffer stopped seven shots.
The Eagles' next game will this wednesday, Sept. 13, when they travel to Central Connecticut State. Game time is 2 p.m.
