Women's Soccer Ranked 20th Nationally In Preseason Poll

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's soccer team has been ranked 20th nationally in the preseason College Buzz poll released today.
The Eagles, who finished the 1999 season with an overall record of 16-7-1, were rated third overall in the Northeast region, ranking behind only No. 6 Connecticut and No.18 Harvard.
Boston College is the only team to appear on the national preseason poll after finishing the 1999 season unranked. They also improved one spot regionally from their final 1999 ranking of fourth.
The Eagles are set to open their season on the road August 25 at Hartford, and will begin their home campaign Sunday, September 3, against Holy Cross.
