Koufos Starts Out the New Millenium With a Bang

Freshman fencer Gena Koufos (Newton, MA) went undefeated in varsity bouts on Saturday. This was the first time that she stepped into a starting position on the epee squad. Her 6 - 0 record was the team's best for the day.

The overall scores for the competitions were as follows: BC 16 - UNH 11, BC 15 - Brandeis 12, BC 14 - BU 13, MIT 17 - BC 10. The women will be competing next week, on the 29th, in a bout against Harvard in Cambridge, MA.
