BC Men's Track Falls To Dartmouth

The men's track team competed at Dartmouth in a dual meet on April 15. The team fell, 121 points to 74 points, in the meet held in Hanover, N.H.
Six members of the team took home first-place honors. Sophomore Bennett Valencia won the 200-meter dash in 23.26, just edging out the next competitor by .03 seconds. Junior Dan Fitzgerald won t he 800-meter run in 3:59, kicking off an Eagle sweep of the top four places and eight of the top nine places.
Senior Brian Shafer and freshman Brian Mahoney swept the 3000-meter steeplechase, taking first and second place. Freshman Brad Chun took his second pole vault meet of the season, winning with a leap of 14'. Senior Neil Koenig also won the javelin throw with a toss of 177'11".
