Shannon Smith Wins ECAC Crown

Junior Shannon Smith won the 3000M at the ECAC Championships held March 5 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston. Sophomore Katie Ryan finished eighth in the event. As a team, Boston College finished 23rd with 11 points.

Smith led the race start to finish and completed the distance in 9:31.64, three tenths of a second faster than the next competitor. Ryan ran a 9:48.44.
