Men Run at BIG EAST Track Championships

Boston College's men's track team competed at the BIG EAST Indoor Track Championships, February 19-20, at Syracuse University, finishing 13th with 17 points. Georgetown won the meet with 139 points.
Junior Jonathan Ordway continued his strong performance in the sprints, taking third in the 60M dash in 6.94 seconds. Prior to the BIG EAST Championships, Ordway was undefeated in the 55M and 60M races.
Junior Justin Burdon claimed a fifth-place showing in the Mile, running a 4:13.02.
In the 4x800M relay, the team of sophomore Mike McKenzie, freshman Vernon Mickle, junior Dan Fitzgerald and Burdon copped a fifth-place showing, earning Boston College four points
Senior Derek Holland ran a 14:40 - 5000M race, enough for seventh place at the meet.
Senior Marshal Armitage earned the Eagles final point with this eighth-place run in the 3000M in 8:27.
The Eagles will next compete in the New England Championships on February 25-26. Team members who have posted qualifying marks will be eligible to compete in the meet.
