CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-The Eagles fell to UMass Tuesday afternoon, but not without a fight. Boston College won two out of three doubles matches , but lost four out of six singles matches to UMass. Led by Steve Prisco and Brent Davis, who combined to win a doubles match and each took a singles match, the Minutemen squeezed out a victory at the Boston College campus Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagle's began the match by securing the doubles point. However, the advantage did not hold up as only two Eagles could earn singles points on the windy afternoon. Senior Jason Cowett and sophomore Damon Vartabedian both won their matches in singles play. Vartabedian teamed with freshman Ross Pytko to win a doubles match as did junior Marc Lucero and freshman Paul Colahan.
This is the Eagle's second match and it evens their record to 1-1.
Men's Tennis will next see action on Wednesday, October 11 at home against the University of New Hampshire, match time is 2:00p.m.
