Men's Tennis Competes In Northeast Intercollegiate Tournament

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College opened its men's tennis season in Providence, competing in the Northeast Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by Brown University held Sept. 24. Teams from all over New England and the Mid-Atlantic states participated in the tournament.
Seven Eagle competitors ended the invitational with 1-1 records. Senior Brad Hughes (Wellesley, Mass.), sophomores Jason Cowett (Del Mar, Calif.), Marc Lucero (San Diego, Calif.), Colin Kennedy (Maplewood, N.J.) and Brett Thomas (Beachwood, Ohio), and freshmen Greg Comfort (Columbus, Ohio) and Phillipe Bulauitan all came home with even singles records.
In doubles action, the teams of Bulauitan and Comfort, and Lucero and Hughes both won one match and lost one match. The two teams of Annigeri and Cowett, and Thomas and Kennedy won one match each.
The Boston College men's tennis team will next compete against Boston University on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 2:45 p.m.
