NEWTON, Mass. Propelled by second-half goals by Jill Livolsi (Northport, N.Y.) and Meghan Moore (Santa Barbara, Calif.), the 13th-ranked Boston College women's soccer team shut out visiting Northeastern, 2-0.
The Eagles, who held a 18-2 shot advantage for the game, waited until the second half to capitalize on their scoring chances. Twelve minutes later, Moore scored on assists from Kate Halloran (Hanover, Mass.) and Mary Guarino (Plantation, Fla.) to cap the scoring.
Boston College goalkeeper Courtney Schaeffer (South Huntington, N.Y.) recorded one save on her way to her third shutout of the season and 19th of her career.
The Eagles, 5-2, will return to action on Sunday, Sept 26, when they host BIG EAST opponent Miami at noon.
