Eagles fall to No. 7 Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Boston College surrendered three unanswered goals on its way to a 3-2 overtime defeat against No. 7 Ohio State in a game played Friday afternoon.
The No. 18 Eagles tallied a pair of first half goals with Gina Dinan (Portland, ME) opening the scoring 17 minutes in on a feed from Nichole Bukowski (Windham, Mass.). Boston College scored its second goal by beating the first-half buzzer as Kellie Misiaszek (Greenland, NH) took a push from Morgan Brady (New Milford, Conn.) on the Eagles only penalty corner of the day to double the advantage.
The homestanding Buckeyes scored twice in the second half with Katie Hobsons goal in the 57th minute sending the contest into overtime.
The teams played for three minutes before Marije van Nouhuys gave Ohio States its sixth win of the season by putting the ball past Boston College goalkeeper Jill Dedman (Orange, Conn.). Dedman turned in yet another stellar performance in the setback, recording 20 saves.
Boston College, 3-3, will continue its swing through Ohio with a 1 p.m. game on Sunday, Sept. 19 against No. 16 Kent.
