BOSTON, Mass. - The Boston College field hockey team had its two-game winning streak against No. 17 Boston University snapped Wednesday night as the Terriers shut out BC 4-0 in a game played at rainy Nickerson Field.
The Terriers scored a pair of goals in each half, with Kate Cusick and Daniele DeCoste doing the honors. It was the same two players striking for the Terriers in the second half as both DeCoste and Cusick put the ball past Boston College goalkeeper Jill Dedman (Orange, Conn.).
For the game Boston University ownded a 21-6 shot advantage while attempting 11 penalty corners to the No. 18 Eagles' four.
Dedman turned in a solid game, recording 11 saves in the setback. Sophomore forward Amelie Wulff (Dusseldorf, Germany) launched three shots towards the Boston University net.
The Eagles (4-2) will look to get back on the winning track when they travel to Ohio to take on No. 7 Ohio State on Sept. 17 at 3 p.m and No. 16 Kent on Sept. 19 at 1 p.m..
