CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College freshman back Elizabeth Flood (Danvers, Mass) earned the program's second straight BIG EAST rookie of the week honor. Flood was recognized by the league for her play during the week ending Sept. 12.
Flood, who made her first collegiate start in the Eagles' Sept. 11 victory over Holy Cross, follows Kim French (Shrewsbury, Mass.) who took home the accolade last week.
Flood has played in three of the Eagles first four games and figures to make an impact defensively as the season progresses.
The Eagles are now 3-1 and will look to upend cross-town rival Boston University in a game to be played at Nickerson Field on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
