Boston College freshman midfielder Meghan Moore (Santa Barbara, Calif.) scored the Eagles only goal in a 1-1 tie with BIG EAST foe, Rutgers.
After 59 scoreless minutes, Moore blasted a shot from 18 yards into the upper left corner of the net to give the Eagles a one-goal advantage. Rutgers freshman Shannon Gleason scored the equalizer 10 minutes later.
Sophomore Courtney Schaeffer (South Huntington, N.Y.) made four saves for BC. Rutgers Kate MacFarlane made 11 saves to preserve the stalemate.
Boston College moves to 8-5-3, 4-3-3 in the BIG EAST, while Rutgers emerges 4-7-4, 2-3-4 in the conference. The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday, October 21 at 3 p.m. when they play their final home match of the season. BC will host New Hampshire at Bowditch Field in Framingham, Mass.
