NATICK, Mass. - James Madison senior Jessica Williams and junior Aimee Grahe scored goals in the last eight minutes to give the Dukes a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Boston College at Natick High School.
Boston College freshman Morgan Page (Westerly, RI) opened the scoring at 39:13 with her fourth goal in three games. Page delivered the lone first half goal with a bouncing shot that found the corner of the net.
JMU sophomore Lisa Cioffi retaliated in the 53rd minute with the game-tying goal that eluded the Eagles' goalie Courtney Schaeffer (South Huntington, NY).
Mary Guarino gave BC a 2-1 edge in the 75th minute with a header that hurtled over the head of the Dukes' Beth Manghi. JMU's Williams followed with a squib kick, and Grahe clinced the game by beating Schaffer in a one-on-one with 59 seconds remaining.
Both Schaffer and Manghi made six saves.
Boston College drops to 1-2 with the loss, while James Madison improves to 1-2. The Eagles will return to action on Sunday, September 13 at noon, when they host BIG EAST rival Seton Hall at Bowdicth Field in Framingham, Mass.
