Women's Soccer Earns Two BIG EAST Accolades

Boston College sophomore Courtney Schaeffer (South Huntington, N.Y.) earned her third consecutive BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honor, and freshman midfielder Meghan Moore (Santa Barbara, Calif.) earned her first Rookie of the Week honor for their play during the week of September 28-October 4.
Schaeffer posted three shutouts during the week, including a 120-minute scoreless deadlock at West Virginia on Sunday, October 4. She made eight saves to preserve the tie.
Schaeffer has notched four consecutive shutouts overall and six consecutive shutouts in BIG EAST action. She has not allowed a goal in a conference match in 681 minutes.
Schaeffer leads the BIG EAST in goals against average in conference matches at 0.13. She has a 0.71 GAA overall, third in the conference.
Moore scored the first two goals of her collegiate career on two game-winning tallies. She scored the first goal in a 6-0 rout over Northeastern on Tuesday, September 29. Moore notched the lone goal in a BIG EAST victory over Pittsburgh on Friday, October 2.
Moores goal against the Panthers came with 23 seconds remaining in regulation. With her two goals and four assists this season, Moore ranks third on the team in points (8).
The Eagles return to action on Friday, October 9 at 3 p.m. when they host #2 Notre Dame at Natick High School.
