Boston College freshman Meghan Moore (Santa Barbara, Calif.) scored the game-winning goal with 23 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Eagles over BIG EAST foe, Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, Penn.
Moores second goal of the season was assisted by junior Janice Collein (Garden City, NJ). The Eagles have won four consecutive BIG EAST matches.
Sophomore Courtney Schaeffer (South Huntington, N.Y.) made one save to preserve her seventh shutout of the season, her fifth shutout in six BIG EAST contests. Pittsburghs Nicole Bashor made 10 saves for the Panthers.
With the victory, Boston College improves to 7-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the BIG EAST. Pittsburgh falls to 5-5 on the season, 4-2 in conference games. The Eagles return to action on Sunday, October 4 at 1 p.m. when they travel to Morgantown, W.V. to battle BIG EAST rival West Virginia.
