At Natick High School, sophomore Mary Guarino (Plantation, FL) tallied one goal and two assists in Boston Colleges decisive, 4-1, victory over Loyola(Chicago).
The Eagles attacked early and often with three first half goals. Janice Collein (Garden City, NY) assisted on each of the first two goals of the half to Guarino, 22:03, and junior Brandy Manza (Tacoma, WA), 24:48. Sophomore Rachael Klemanski (Farmington, CT) ended the scoring of the first half with a goal assisted by Guarino, 43:03.
The second half began just the same for the Eagles as Megan Burns (Oxford, MI) marched downfield and scored off of a nice feed from Guarino, giving the Eagles a commanding four goal lead at 63:17.
Boston College goalkeepers Courtney Schaeffer (South Huntington, NY) and Alice Lehne (Troy, MI) combined for six saves, with the lone goal allowed late in the second half, 87:04, by Lehne.
The Eagles outshot Loyola 16-7, despite treacherous rain throughout the game.
Boston College moves to 8-4-2 overall. The Eagles return to action on Friday, October 16 when they travel for a conference match against Villanova.
