PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College Friars defeated the Boston College Eagles, 6-3, on Saturday, February, 28 in women's ECAC Hockey action at PC's Schneider Arena
Boston College opened the scoring when Jennifer Buckley's shot from 10 feet in front found the back of the net at 2:17 of the first period.
Catherine Hanson evened the game at 1-1 in a power-play situation with a blast from the right point 44 seconds into the second period. Kathleen Savino scored to the put Eagles ahead at 7:16 of the second before PC's Jessica Tabb notched the final goal of second period to tie the game at 2-2.
PC used four goals in the third period by Katherine Cahill, Sherryl Jones and Myia Yates (two) to take control of the game. Genevieve Missirlian added the lone goal for the Eagles in the third period.
