Women's Hoops Falls to Big East Rival Hurricanes

BOSTON - Jennifer Jordan scored 26 points as Miami beat No. 21 Boston College 66-53 Saturday - the Hurricanes' second triumph this season over the Eagles.

Kym Hope had 22 points for the Hurricanes (10-6, 5-3 Big East), who defeated BC 65-57 last month in Miami.

Alissa Murphy led the Eagles (13-3, 5-3) with 14 points. Brianne Stepherson added 11 as Boston College lost its second straight game.

Jordan tied the game at 40 with a jumper midway through the second half, and took a 47-46 lead on her free throw with 7:47 remaining. BC never led thereafter.

The Eagles trailed 20-8 at 9:42 in the first half, then tied it at 26 on a Nicole Conway jumper with 4:36 remaining. Miami pulled ahead with Hope's jump shot to lead 28-26 at halftime.
