CHESNUT HILL, MA-Sophomore Jen Buckley(Greenwich, CT) set up sophomore Lisa Molvar(Lexington, MA) for the game winning goal in overtime to defeat Yale University and pick up their fifth win of the season.
Yale jumped out to the early lead as they went into the first intermission up one goal. Juniior Sue Barnes scored a power play goal 3:53 to give Yale the lead. The two teams came out strong to start the first, and Yale failed to capatalize on their next five power play oppurtunities. BC scored the next three goals to give them a 3-1 lead going into the third. Amber Bobin(Northbrook, Ill.) started the scoring for BC on a shorthanded goal at 6:24 of the second.
Junior goalie Christy Nentwig(Chesterfield, MO) played another great game, keeping the Eagles in it. Nentwig made 32 saves, 11 in the third period.
BC will next play Boston University in the Beanpot on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. The Beanpot is played at Matthews Arena on the campus of Northeastern University.
