Women's Hockey Falls to Mankato State

Chestnut Hill, MA-The Boston College womens hockey team fell to Mankato State of Minnesota 5-2 at Kelly Rink on Friday night.
Mankato State(4-6-0)scored the first goal on a shot that by BC(1-7-1) goalie Sharon Vantuyl(Portage, MI) at 19:06 of the first period. The score remained tie until Jen Buckley(New Canaan, CT) scored a power play goal at 5:58 of the second period. Ryann Geldners second goal of the game proved to be the game winner for Mankato State at 16:04 of the second period.
Despite out shooting the Mavericks 45-28 the Eagles could only muster two goals to drop to 1-7-1. BC will try avenge the loss as they will play Mankato State on Sunday at 12:00 at Kelly Rink on the campus of Boston College
