Chestnut Hill, Mass.--Despite outshooting the Black Bears, 38-37,the Boston College Eagles fell to the University of Maine 6-2 Friday night at Kelly Rink.
Maine came out strong and scored the first goal just 3:00 in on a power-play goal by Kelly Nelson. Boston College got on the board at 9:11 of the first on a goal by senior Geneive Missirlian to make it 2-1. That is as close as Bc would get as UM went into the lockeroom up 3-1. BC(7-16-2) scored their second goal at 10:45 of the third. Gena Nolin(Chichester, NH) broke out off a pass from Vantuyl and put it pass Maine's Amanda Cronin for a short-handed goal.
BC will try and bounce back as they take on Maine Saturday afternoon at 3:00 at Kelly Rink.
