Women's Hockey Drops Polar Bears, 7-1

Chestnut Hill, Mass.-Senior Erin Magee(Troy, NY) scored her third hat trick of the season to give the Eagles their straight win , defeating the Polar Bears 7-1, in women's hockey action at Kelly Rink.
Boston College came out quickly and scored the first goal of the game at 10:58 of the first. Freshman Missy Barsz scored on a nice pass from Jen Buckley to give the Eagle's the lead.
Bc came out in the second and scored five staight goals to put the game out reach. Freshman Heather Lane scored her first career goal at 12:00 of the second to give BC(7-14-2) a 5-0 lead.
Sharon Vantuyl stopped 17 shots for the Eagles to pick up her second win of the season.
Boston College will next play in the championship game of the 21st Beanpot on Tuesday night at 8:00. The game is played at Matthews Arena on the campus of Northeastern University.
